Lent Day 26, Thursday, April 3
“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.” Luke 11:33-36
Three-way lamps allow you to go from off to dim to medium to bright lighting. The passage here is speaking of the inner light of Christ in you. In Christ, the setting will be “wholly bright” with no “off” setting. Christ will radiate through you, even through your cracks.
Ponder: Have you ever hidden your light or been afraid it was not bright enough? If your light is Christ, it will shine through all the cracks and faults in your life. Do not be afraid to be who you are in Christ.
Praise: In Christ, your whole body is full of His light.
